Lamar Odom Update: Lamar Calls his Drug Dealer

In October, Lamar Odom had a brush with death during a near drug overdose at Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada. While it’s still unclear whether a drug intervention would have made a difference in the outcome, it was overwhelmingly clear that estranged wife Khloe Kardashian’s visits to Lamar Odom’s bedside seemed to indicate a potential reconciliation was on the horizon.

Lamar Odom’s Drug Dealer Allegedly Invited to Hospital

According to the International Business Times, Odom reportedly summoned his drug dealer to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he is currently recovering from his near death experience.

It’s not certain whether Odom invited the drug dealer due to their friendship or if he was looking to purchase drugs from him. Either way, it’s probably not in the best interests of Odom to be around the drug influencing friends and circle that potentially led him to his medical crisis. Odom also reportedly demanded stronger pain pills.

Khloe Kardashian Limits Visits to Odom

It was widely reported that a reconciliation was on the horizon for Odom and Kardashian after she dismissed her divorce with Odom directly due to his overdose and near death.

However, sources close to the couple say that it became very evident after Odom awoke from his coma that he wouldn’t be changing his drug using ways. Inviting his drug dealer to the hospital was the last straw for Kardashian, and her visits have since been limited.

Is a Drug Intervention Too Late?

A drug intervention is never too late, even for the most hardened and experienced drug user. In some cases, it can take many tries at detox and rehab before a drug user is on the road to recovery.

Having supportive and non-drug using family and friends willing to step in and perform a drug intervention may be what saves Lamar Odom.
